
Marisa Heath (Englefield Green);

Marisa has been a Member of Surrey County Council since winning a by-election in November 2006 and has also represented the Englefield Green East Ward on Runnymede Borough Council since May 2003.
At County level Marisa is Chairman of the Runnymede Local Committee and vice-Chairman of the Planning & Regulatory Committee. She also sits on the Children & Families Select Committee and served as the County Council’s Champion for Looked after Children in the 2005-2009 Council. Her main interests are looked after children and trading standards.
At Borough level she is a member of the Housing & Community Service Committees as well as the Englefield Green Committee.
Marisa is also a governor of Englefield Green Infants School and Strodes College. She is closely involved with the community group at Royal Holloway University and is also a member of the Runnymede Fostering Panel.
She has a BA (Hons) degree in English Literature and an MSc in International Relations. She spent 2 years working for the Shadow Defence team and Gerald Howarth MP who represents Aldershot. She now works part-time as a parliamentary officer for the RSPCA and has recently signed a book deal with a publishing company.
